Hey HOTWABers! Captain Charizma is still hogging the limelight with his new recruits this week. Metahuman bodyguards, eh. Whatever next!?

Elsewhere, I've been updating my Patreon account, sorting out some rewards and giving it a lick of paint. People may notice I've only went for the lowest cost for my rewards, I've done this for a few reasons, one I wont be uploading finished pages early for Patreons, however I will upload the artwork, sketches and finished panels, before they're published as a reward.

As much as creating a webcomic can become something of a part-time verging on full-time job, and financial backing is always welcome, I'm not keen on locking people in to big payments. I personally prefer the PayPal Tip Jar, and to be fair, HOTWAB is still in its infancy.

And lastly the whole point of doing HOTWAB was to do a comic that didn't rely on financing, which was the dagger in the back for shows such as Young Justice which prompted me to make this comic series, so Patreon will be a nice surprise, rather than a means to maintain the comic.

There'll also be plenty of free updates so please pop over and have a look, and any feedback would be welcome

Good job on the drawings of Araknya. You're anatomy is a little lacking sometimes, but other times you get it right. You are doing good character work, the poses and facial expressions suit the story well.

Hey thanks, I'm still learning I guess. Lacking anatomy though... Rob Liefeld made a career out of it heh

It's tough to work out kinks when you are doing everything yourself. You're better than Rob Liefield. At least your characters have feet.

So Captain Kharisma is a gamer, emphasized by his the use of "aggro" as a tactical concept?

Charizma and his hirelings are using the 'hero' thing as a gimmick to achieve fame and money, the moral issue there being, if they do good deeds with this motivation in mind, does it make them heroes? Capt. Athlete does similar, but used his fame to help inspire people. Currently Force-Ar is the only one who does good deeds from a relatively altruistic point of view, but gains popularity through this, as most traditional heroes do.

Am I the only one widows who finds the spider emblem coming from her vagina a little disturbing? I have visions of black widows eating their mates!
